Sunny CAL/ Snowy CAN

Exercise: Jan 17 through Jan 21 - only exercise was daily walking; nothing special therefore I was 0 for 5; Summary: 6 good & 15 bad.

Diet: OK week, no major binges or blunders. Regular meals - meat & veggies, no major carbs, no sweets, some fruit, no snacks except almonds. Clothes felt OK, pants still OK, sometimes I feel a little bloated at the end of the day.

Patti JV Basketball Cheer both Wed & Fri. Suzie returned to classes at CSUSM for the 2nd semester; books & parking purchased. Cathy booked to London for April 30th through May 10th on America West out of Santa Ana/ Orange County for $186 return. Brenda got away OK on Tuesday - she had a long trip, it took over 5 hours to get from Detroit to London because of weather and problems on the 401.

Today (Saturday January 22nd) the weather is wonderful here in Southern California. Perfect for outside activities. However, in the northeast, including London, they are experiencing a major winter storm. We have spoken to people there and they are preparing for the worst. Pete & Brenda are staying inside, Rob & Kim are going to watch DVD's with Jacob.

Major events this week included President Bush's 2nd inaugral speech. I liked Rush Limbaugh's comparison of the media response to this speech to that of Lincoln at Gettysburg. Both were panned; I noticed this in my reading of Sandburg's Lincoln biography.
